Heart On My Sleeve
(polycotton, embroidery thread, cotton thread, card, synthetic stuffing)
We all hear voices right? Not necessarily in the Joan Of Ark, connected to god kind of way, but we do all have things that we say to ourselves to keep us going.
What if the things that you kept saying to yourself, were the things that caused the most pain?
I have always been told that I wear my heart on my sleeve; something that I try to keep to myself but in the current climate, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to do this without bursting at the seams. Instead of fighting this urge to explode, I’ve decided to let it all out. So here is “My Heart on My Sleeve”, an un-filtered piece, scarred with my very loud inside voices. Maybe by letting them out, I’ll be able to get some peace!
